In terms of the market, the August sales of new energy vehicles in China hit a high record of 666,000 units, an increase of 100% year-on-year and a month-on-month increase of 12.4%.   This rate of new energy vehicles sales reaching weight 28% of gross vehicles sales, an increase of 11% over the same period last year, exceeding the current weight of 24% in Europe.  Experts predict that by 2030, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in China will reach 50%, that is, for every two new cars sold, one is a new energy vehicle.

In terms of manufacturer rankings, in August, 16 automakers sold more than 10,000 vehicles. BYD ranked first with sales of 175,000 vehicles; SAIC Group ranked second with sales of more than 100,000 vehicles; Tesla ranked third with 7.7 10,000 vehicles. Further down, Geely, 37,000 vehicles; GAC, 30,000 vehicles.

It is worth noting that among the 16 manufacturers with sales of more than 10,000, excluding US maker Tesla, traditional Chinese car companies accounted for 12 seats, while the "new car-making forces" only accounted for 3 seats, namely Nezha, which ranked 10th. , Leapmotor ranked 12 and NIO ranked 16th.  The other two new player, Xpeng and Li, are both outside the 16th place.

From this point of view, there are at least two notable signals in the new energy vehicle market: first, traditional car companies that were once lagging behind are making efforts to catch up with the "new car-making forces" in an all-round way; second, "car-making" The "new forces" are also going through a round of shuffling internally, and Nezha and Leapmotor, who were originally in the second echelon, have caught up.
