Overview ofPT100 platinum thermal resistance
May 19 , 2022
The resolution of 100 ohm platinum thermal resistance is 10 times larger than that of 10 ohm platinum thermal resistance, and the requirements for secondary instruments are correspondingly one order of magnitude more. Therefore, 100 ohm platinum thermal resistance should be used as far as possible for temperature measurement in the temperature area below 650 °C .
The material of the skeleton of the temperature sensing element is also the main factor that determines the temperature range of the platinum thermal resistance. Common temperature sensing elements include ceramic elements, glass elements, and mica elements, which are respectively wound by platinum wires on the ceramic skeleton, glass skeleton, and mica skeleton. And then processed through a complex process. Due to the different properties of the skeleton material itself, the ceramic components are suitable for the temperature range below 850 °C, and the glass components are suitable for the temperature range below 550 °C. There are a large number of thick film and thin film platinum thermal resistance temperature sensing elements on the market. Thick film platinum thermal resistance elements are printed on glass or ceramic substrates with platinum paste, and thin film platinum thermal resistance elements are sputtered on glass with platinum paste. Or ceramic bottom plate, and then processed by photolithography, this temperature sensing element is only suitable for -70~500 ℃ temperature zone, but this temperature sensing element uses less material, can be mass-produced mechanized, high efficiency, low price .
In terms of structure, platinum thermal resistance can also be divided into industrial platinum thermal resistance and armored platinum thermal resistance. Industrial platinum thermal resistance is also called assembled platinum thermal resistance, that is, the platinum thermal resistance temperature sensing element is welded and assembled into a metal tube or ceramic tube with one end closed, and then a junction box is installed; armored platinum thermal resistance is made of platinum thermal resistance. The thermal resistance element, the transition lead and the insulating powder are assembled in the stainless steel tube and then pulled by the die as a whole.
